Practical Digital Solutions
Castello Consultant develops and evaluates practical digital tools for construction, site management, engineering inspection, building maintenance and selected independent applications. Current development is focused on reducing repetitive site administration, improving project traceability and making large volumes of site records easier to organise, search and report.
Items identified as development concepts are not represented as completed commercial products until expressly stated otherwise.
Flagship Development Project
Simple for the site team. Powerful for project management.
SGB SMP is being developed as a lightweight, chat-first, AI-assisted Site Management Platform for construction, R&R, estate operations, maintenance and term contracts. Site personnel can work in a familiar way — select the location, take a photograph, speak or type, and send — while the platform organises the project record in the background.
A project may contain multiple controlled chat groups for blocks, areas, trades, assignments, consultants, MCST / MA coordination and temporary issues. Users see only the projects and groups that they are authorised to access.
The free Site App may be downloaded by supervisors, contractors, consultants, MA staff, MCST representatives and other invited participants, but downloading it gives no project access. Access begins only after a secure invitation links the authenticated user to an authorised project, role, chat groups, permissions and access period.
The Primary Administrator may represent a Project Director, Contract Administrator, Managing Agent, MCST administrator, Owner Representative or another authorised lead role. Managers can be assigned only the projects or service contracts they are authorised to administer.
Planned Site App interface languages include English, Simplified Chinese, Bahasa Melayu, Bangla, Tamil, Myanmar (Burmese) and Filipino / Tagalog. Original chat language is preserved while AI-assisted transcription and translation are maintained as derived information.
The software provider is not intended to routinely read customer project chats, photographs or documents. Project access is controlled by the customer's authorised administrators. Temporary support access, where necessary, should be expressly authorised, time-limited and logged.
Authorised users may eventually ask questions such as:
“Show me Block 5 E2 second-coat photographs.”
“Which areas remain outstanding?”
“What work was completed after rainfall?”
“Prepare the current 4-week report.”
AI answers are intended to link back to the authorised original messages, photographs, documents and other source records for verification.
Once a report layout is approved, the format is locked. AI can update and improve the content, but it must not arbitrarily change approved headings, sequence, tables, numbering or presentation without an authorised revision.
Project photographs, voice notes and documents are intended to be stored in the secure project workspace. Mobile devices retain only the temporary data required for normal operation, reducing dependence on personal-phone storage and making old records easier to retrieve.
At project or contract close-out, authorised users can export the project archive to their own server, external hard disk, NAS or corporate cloud environment, subject to the agreed close-out and retention process.
Singapore Built Environment Direction
BCA describes Site Management Platforms (SMPs) as digital tools that consolidate construction-site information, support communication and automate documentation across areas such as productivity, quality, safety, time and cost. SGB SMP is being architected with that broader digitalisation direction in mind.
The architecture also reserves a vendor-neutral integration layer for future connectivity with established industry systems, including Autodesk Platform Services and BCA / IMDA's SGBuildex ecosystem. Any direct SGBuildex connection would only be represented after the applicable Site Management Data Standards, API requirements, onboarding and testing have been completed.
Important: SGB Site Management Plan is an independent software-development project. It is not presently represented as BCA-approved, BCA-endorsed or connected to SGBuildex. The product name SGB does not indicate affiliation with SGBuildex or BCA.
